How did three people look at the SAME thing and see something DIFFERENT?!
Once there was a single lady that was leaving work late one evening with one of her employees as well as a fellow co-worker. As they approached the lady’s car, the lady and the two men all noticed she had a flat tire. At this moment,
each had a thought come to mind.
The lady was a bit concerned since she was just on her way to Bible Study. She thought, “Well, this is a good excuse to miss Bible Study, or maybe it is a good chance for me to pray and trust God to overcome this challenge.”
The lady’s employee thought, “Ahhhhh ... I am ready to go, but if I don’t help with this tire, I may get a bad rating on my review next week.”
The second fellow, who actually fancied the young lady thought, “Whoopeee! What a great chance to show this lady I like her and what a nice guy I am!.”
All three people saw the same thing -- a flat tire. But each looked at it in a different way. It’s not so much what you see as how you look at it!
When we see a world of unsaved or needy people, how do we look at reaching them? Does the challenge make us want to do nothing or trust God? Is it an unpleasant obligation? Or is it a great chance to show our love for God and others? Do we see the needs of the world through God’s eyes? Through eyes of LOVE?
"Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
